Editorial: In a nutshell:
The SingStar karaoke juggernaut rumbles on with a particularly generous selection of 30 new songs featuring music legends from Elton John to Nirvana and Tina Turner to Johnny Cash.

The lowdown:
After the rather niche Singstar Rocks and SingStar Anthems this latest expansion has a much broader song selection. The rather loose theme is that all the songs are by music legends, rather than one hit wonders, and you've got the likes of Paranoid by Black Sabbath, Life on Mars by David Bowie and Ring of Fire by Jonny Cash. As usual all the songs include the original music video (if they had one), giving visual accompaniment to classics such as The Greatest Love of All by Whitney Houston, Roxanne by The Police and Rocket Man by Elton John. Of course whether you'll still love all these golden oldies after they've been desecrated by a drunken SingStar session is another thing.

Most exciting moment:
The eight player, pass the microphone mode is still the best way to play SingStar and there aren't really any new game modes here to beat it. There is a new feature that lets you compare your crooning with that of the real artist though, even if the game does seem to be rather kind in most of its comparisons.

Since you ask:
SingStar has already been confirmed as appearing on the PlayStation 3, in fact it's was one of the first games to be demoed using the online shop, where you can download individual songs you want instead of having to buy whole expansions like this.

The bottom line:
One of the best SingStar expansions, with at least a few songs for everyone.-HARRISON DENT

5 out of 5  "Another Winner!!!!" - 28 October 2006
I really enjoyed playing Singstar Legends. The songs on it are really good, I especially like 'Park Life' and 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'. Probably not as good as the 80's one but I would still recommend it as one of the better Singstars to buy. A big thumbs up!

4 out of 5  "One of the best in the series........." - 27 December 2006
I have all the others in the series of Singstars, and I think this is one of the best, if not the best. There is a nice range of fast and slow tracks, all easily recognizable, and worthy of legendary status.
The good thing is, it also means that friends and family of a certain age can join in with this one, as they know the songs!!
Rumour is, Singstar for the Playstation 3 will be downloadable, so make use of these on discs while you can!
Recommended!!

5 out of 5  "Back on top form, SingStar!" - 11 September 2006
Fans of the SingStar series will know just how much fun these games are, but its fair to say that Anthems was more than a little disappointing - only 20 tracks and very few of them living up to the 'anthems' tag. But with Legends, they've got it spot on. With classics like Teen Spirit, Life on Mars, Sympathy for the Devil and Ring of Fire, SingStar is back on top form. I just wonder where they go from here - SingStar Glamrocks? SingStar 60's? I can't wait!

5 out of 5  "Love it!" - 31 October 2006
Got it on Friday when it came out and I think it could be the best so far (even better than 80's!!). Makes up for a disappointing Anthems. I know all the songs and like most of them. I would definitely recommend getting it.

5 out of 5  "makes up for the poor (gay) anthems title." - 27 September 2006
it's good to see singstar is back on track. it's rumoured this will be the last title for ps2, and that you'll be able to download your prefered selection of songs on the ps3. i own all the singstar range and this appears to be the strongest, evan better than 80's.

5 out of 5  "this is good!" - 1 January 2007
There are a range of songs for both male and female voices. My advice is that of a couple of beers with a few friends and just belt out the best you can! There are no losers in this game!

5 out of 5  "Ermmm...?" - 16 October 2006
I think it's pretty nifty how you guys can review a game before it's even out...

4 out of 5  "Singstar Legends" - 8 January 2007
This kareoke format for the playstation must be very good. It is the very first time i have ever used a playstation willingly and also i am finally learing how the controller works. The songs are good some are great, I hope that there will be more songs coming to practice with. I'll bet my kids wished this game was out when they were younger, i even bought a playstation to play again!

3 out of 5  "Not the best so far" - 10 October 2006
This looks like a good singstar apart from i have neva heard of most of the singers on the disk, I think they should make a ultimate love songs or power ballads disk with ppl like celine dion, meatloaf, foreigner, whitney & many others.. I also think doing a christmas hits disk would be fantastic because i know most ppl like to have a good ole sing christmas day..But all in all there is a few tracks on here that i like but it's not my favorite one as of yet...
Lets hope they make a power ballads or christmas edition...

3 out of 5  "Newer Songs Needed" - 17 October 2006
This is ok but the song list for someone who is young is limited they should add more newer songs in their next version.

They should make a Pop version of this or maybe a girlee version!
